Sports Surface Contractors- ZSFloor

by Elena November 18, 2022
written by Elena

A sports surface by sports surface contractors is a place where you play a specific sport. The basketball court has a basketball floor sports surface, whereas the tennis court has a tennis floor sport surface. Many sports you see today have a history of more than a hundred years, and this time-lapse has seen several different sports surfaces. From natural pitches to artificial turfs, the world has seen a drastic change in terms of convenience and outcomes. If modern technology was not there, it would be pretty difficult to play high-intensity sports with ease. The shock absorbing technology, the safety locks, and the energy locking technology make this sport surfaces much more comfortable than the previous ones.

Is Sports Floor Really Important- Why?

Following are the reasons that showcase the importance of sports floors:

Safety and Comfort of Athletes

If the sports floor is not of good quality, there are chances of injury to the athletes. Safety is the biggest reason to choose a sports floor of high quality that can handle the safety and comfort of the athletes because the sports that require sports floors are usually of high intensity and athletes have to run here and there at a high speed. Impact absorption is a must to prevent injury to the joints.

Performance

The sports floor gives a consistent ball bounce and light reflection to ensure a smooth game between the athletes. If the sports floor is of poor quality, they can’t play properly and the game is disrupted every minute. The correct interaction of the ball with other parts of the floor is highly needed and sports surface flooring can ensure it. A long-lasting non-slip surface adds to the benefits of the sports floors.

Durability

Durability is also enhanced if sports flooring is used in the sports courts. The different types of tiles used make the court strong and in turn, durable. Rolling load resistance and impact resistance are provided by the sports floor which is not present if the sports court has no floor. The high impact can hurt the sportsmen and the bouncing ball can break the court’s surface.

What is the Most Popular Outdoor Sport

by Elena April 4, 2022
written by Elena

In the United States, cycling is the most popular outdoor sport among white people. However, Asians are the most likely to participate in cycling. Cyclists of all ages and abilities also love the outdoors, and in 2019, 48.8 million (16.1% of the population) participated in bicycle-related sports. The number of cyclists has remained fairly constant over the past decade. Among Americans, biking is a popular choice for young people.

In 2013, hiking and camping were the most popular outdoor activities. However, the numbers for the non-participants were even higher. Specifically, those who have not done an outdoor activity in the past 12 months have high intentions of participating in these activities. In addition, wildlife viewing continues to grow as an inclusive and affordable activity. The number of people involved in this activity has stayed relatively stable since 2007 despite an increase in interest over the previous years.

According to the National Recreation and Parks Department, fishing was the most popular outdoor activity among adults in 2019. This was the first time that fishing was higher than hiking, but it has increased steadily since then. In 2009, hiking was the least popular activity. Similarly, younger Americans were less likely to engage in outdoor activities compared to older people or those with disabilities. For both, fishing is a relatively gentle activity and is more accessible than other sports.

Despite the rising popularity of hiking and skiing, the most affordable and accessible outdoor activities were kayaking and canoeing. Both activities require equipment, such as a helmet and mouthpiece, and are ideal for vacations. Whether you want to try a new activity or simply have some fun, the best way to enjoy the outdoors is to choose a hobby you enjoy. Whatever your choice, you’ll never go wrong with a new hobby!

While most sports are fun, many people are unaware of the health benefits. In the US, running and cycling have become more popular than ever. Children’s bikes start out with training wheels, but soon turn into an everyday means of transportation. Runners and cyclists are both great for the environment and their health. And if you’re a fan of the outdoors, you’ll love this sport. This summer, get out there and enjoy the fresh air.

While most sports are fun, they are also great for the body. If you’re looking for a new activity, you can try a new sport each weekend. Just make sure to wear appropriate clothing and follow safety rules. You’ll have a great time. You’ll have a blast. It’s all up to you! If you’re looking for an active lifestyle, outdoor sports are the best choices. If you want to experience fun while working out, you’ll love cycling.

As with most sports, longboarding is a fun outdoor activity. Different types of longboarding allow you to enjoy the outdoors in different ways. Some people use it as a way to commute to work while others do it for the thrill. It’s possible to do trick riding on a longboard in skate parks and streets. In addition, biking has many other health benefits. You’ll have fun and get the most exercise by participating in these sports.

According to the Outdoor Foundation, the most popular outdoor sport for US citizens aged six to 17 years old was cycling. As a result, cycling will continue to increase in popularity in the coming years. This type of biking is a great way to get exercise while you’re on vacation. And you can even do some if you’re on a budget. For all ages and backgrounds, there are a variety of options for outdoor sports.

In the US, cycling was the most popular outdoor activity among US citizens aged six to 17 years old. It is also predicted to grow in popularity in 2020. In addition to biking, Americans also do a wide range of camping activities. There are various types of camping, such as backyard and car camping. The majority of them have a variety of advantages, but skiing is the most popular among all age groups. It has also been growing steadily since the Outdoor Foundation’s data began in 2012.

Analyzing the Steelers Week 11 loss to the Chargers, by the numbers

by Elena November 21, 2021
written by Elena

The 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers have gone two straight games without a victory despite scoring their most amount of points this season in Week 11. Unfortunately, Steelers gave up two more touchdowns than they had in any game to this point of the 2021 season. Despite overcoming a huge fourth-quarter deficit, the Steelers travel back home from the West Coast in defeat.

So without further ado, here are some of the numbers involved in the Steelers loss to the Chargers.

+1

Believe it or not, the Steelers managed to lose this game despite winning the turnover battle. Getting one takeaway and not turning the ball over, it was the first time the Steelers had a positive turnover margin and lost since Week 5 of the 2019 season against the Baltimore Ravens. And by not turning the ball over, it was the first loss the Steelers had with a zero in the turnover department since Week 2 of the 2018 season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

533

The biggest reason the Steelers fell in defeat was surrendering 533 yards which led to 41 points given up by the defense. The Chargers ran 69 total offensive plays which averaged 7.7 yards per play with 159 yards coming on the ground and 374 net passing yards.

90

Some of the most important plays that the Steelers were not able to stop was containing Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert whenever he fled the pocket. In the game, Herbert had 90 rushing yards on nine carries. This number is even more inflated as the final three carries Herbert had in the game lost three total yards as they were kneel downs. Herbert’s 90 yards rushing as a quarterback was tied for the second most the Steelers have given up since the 1970 merger. The game in which this tied was in 1997 when Steve McNair of the Tennessee Oilers (yes, Oilers) rushed for 90 yards. The most rushing yards the Steelers have surrendered to a quarterback since 1970 came in 2013 when Terrell Pryor of the Oakland Raiders rushed for 106 yards.

-100

Going into the game, the Los Angeles Chargers had the worst rushing defense in the NFL. Surrendering 155 yards per game on average, the Steelers were only able to rush the ball for 55 yards on 18 attempts. This means the Chargers held the Steelers to 100 yards less than their typical rushing yards surrendered per game.

47:08

The Pittsburgh Steelers did not force a punt until just over two minutes into the fourth quarter. After 47:08 of game time, the Chargers finally punted the ball only to have it callback on a penalty. When the Chargers went to punt 12 seconds later, it was blocked by Miles Killebrew.

58%

The Steelers allowed the Chargers to convert 58% of their third down conversion’s on Sunday night. While the Chargers went 7 of 12 on third down, this percentage should be a little bit higher as one of those third down place was the quarterback taking a knee. The other four third-down stops came on the two field goal drives, the Chargers one attempted punt, and a drive in which the Chargers failed on both third and fourth down to give the ball back to the Steelers.

73%

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 73% of his passes on Sunday night. Completing 30 passes on 41 attempts for 382 yards, it was the third time this season where the Steeler surrendered a completion percentage of 73% or more. Both other games, Week 2 against Las Vegas and Week 3 against Cincinnati, were Steelers losses.

2

The Steelers were able to block their second punt of the 2021 NFL season against the Chargers. The Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys are the only teams in the NFL to block multiple punts this season. On both blocked punts, the Steelers scored 14 points total with their Week 1 punt block being returned for a touchdown and this punt block eventually turning into a Najee Harris TD.

0:19

When the Pittsburgh Steelers held the Chargers on a fourth and one at their own 34-yard line with 3:43 remaining in the game, they had a chance to secure the victory at this time. Unfortunately, partially due to the fact that Najee Harris was in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion, the Steelers did not rush the ball at all and only used a 0:19 seconds of clock while gaining 7 yards. Worst of all, they had to settle for three points on a 45-yard Chris Boswell field goal. By only using 19 seconds, the Chargers had plenty of time to take back the lead.

0

In ultimately what is the main stat of every game, the Steelers did not get to increase their number in the win column for the 2021 season.

So there are some numbers to help put the Steelers Week 11 loss to the Chargers in perspective. While their performance wasn’t enough to get the win, perhaps the Steelers can get back some of their key defenders as they head into back-to-back AFC North matchups.

So what numbers from Sunday night’s game stand out to you? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Rangers 1-3 Hibernian: Martin Boyle nets stunning hat-trick to put Hibs in Scottish League Cup final as Gers lose first game after Steven Gerrard’s exit

by Elena November 5, 2021
written by Elena

Match report as Martin Boyle’s first-half hat-trick sends Hibernian into the Scottish League Cup final as Rangers start life after Steven Gerrard with defeat in front of incoming manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst

Martin Boyle’s sensational first-half hat-trick sent Hibs through to the Scottish League Cup final with a 3-1 win over a Rangers side playing their first match since Steven Gerrard’s departure.

In front of Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who will take over at Ibrox on Monday, Rangers were shellshocked by a Hibs side coming into the game on a run of four straight defeats, and left themselves too much to do to come back from Boyle’s solo heroics.

The Australian international was handed a gift by Rangers captain James Tavernier for the opener, receiving a deflection practically on the goal-line to net.

One became two, and then three soon after as Boyle first took Kevin Nisbet’s pass in his stride and fired across Allan McGregor, before sealing his hat-trick from the spot after Steven Davis barged into him inside the box.

Scott Arfield struck for the league leaders before half-time to give them a sliver of hope, but none more would materialise after the break as Hibs withstood an onslaught to emerge unscathed and set up a date with Rangers’ city rivals Celtic in next month’s final at Hampden Park.

Hibs return to form to leave Rangers reeling

It was quite a start as Paul Hanlon and Hibs midfielder Joe Newell picked up bookings from referee Kevin Clancy for fouls on Gers playmaker Joe Aribo.

Boyle then started the scoring in the ninth minute when he knocked the ball past Gers keeper McGregor from a yard out after it appeared that Rangers skipper Tavernier had tried to chest Newell’s corner back to his keeper and came up short.

Crawford vs Porter highlights and results: Terence Crawford stops Shawn Porter in 10th round to retain WBO title

by Elena October 24, 2021
written by Elena

Shawn Porter was competitive as always, but Terence Crawford dropped and stopped him in the 10th round.

Terence Crawford definitely got his toughest test from Shawn Porter, but in the end, it was the same sort of result, with Crawford stopping Porter in the 10th round to retain his WBO welterweight title.

Crawford (38-0, 29 KO) definitely got his “big win” as a welterweight in this one, and put to bed any lingering doubt that he may not be a true top 147 lb fighter. Porter (31-4-1, 17 KO) gave it his usual excellent effort and was in the fight, but was dropped two times in the 10th round, leading his father Kenny Porter — also his trainer — to stop the bout.

Before that, it had been back-and-forth to a degree. Bad Left Hook’s unofficial cards had Crawford up 87-84 (my card) and 86-85 after nine rounds, and then he really stepped on the gas and put things away.

Porter did not seem to agree with the stoppage when his father made the call, but was very congratulatory toward Crawford and his team when all was said and done.

“He’s doing what he knows he needs to do. I didn’t expect that. We’ve never had a conversation about that, we just kind of always had a silent understanding, but I didn’t expect it,” Porter said. “He was catching me too clean and that’s what my dad saw. I saw it, I felt it. My timing was a little off. A great fighter over there wouldn’t allow me to catch my rhythm. That was my game plan, not to allow him to catch his. He’s a dynamite dude in and out of the ring. Congratulations.”

Asked if Crawford was the best fighter he’s faced to date, Porter didn’t quite say that, but gave Crawford his respect.

“There’s no doubt that man hit me more than anybody I’ve been in the ring with,” he told Bernardo Osuna. “He was on point, A through Z. The competitor in me won’t stop looking at him wanting to fight him again, and he’s that good that I want to do it again. He’s got it. I said that multiple times. He just has that.”

Kenny Porter was booed pretty hard for his explanation as to why he stopped the fight.

“He didn’t prepare like I wanted him to prepare, and that makes me say, ‘I don’t want him in that situation,’” Kenny said. “He fought a great fighter, the guy’s super sharp, and he’s at a deficit. It’s like fighting this guy blindfolded when you’re at a deficit like that. I wasn’t going to let that happen to him.”

Crawford shared the respect for Porter after the bout.

“Shawn Porter, like I said before, I can’t say nothing bad about him. He’s been in there with everybody, he did what I could, I was just the better man today,” he said. “I figured him out in round one. I had the reach, he had to take chances to get in. I was a little stronger than him. He was just trying to do what he normally does — maul, push me back, but I used my angles and pushed him back at times as well.

“Shawn Porter is a good fighter. He was doing some little slick things in there, making me think. I knew I caught him with a good uppercut, and then when I caught him with another left hook, I saw on his face he was real hurt. His dad did the right thing by stopping it, because I was coming with a vengeance.”

Told that Errol Spence Jr was at the fight — and left at the finish of the bout — Crawford laughed it off.

“He was at my fight? That boy said he wasn’t gonna never be at my fights, and now he’s at my fights. You see what I did compared to what he did,” he said. “Who’s number one in the welterweight division now? I’ve been calling him out all day. Maybe I’ll go up to 154. Maybe if Spence gets his tail out of his butt, he’ll fight me.”

Crawford did pull it back some and gave a sincere answer about the situation. “Look, styles make fights. We’re all great, we’re all talented. We’ve all got different styles. He won, I won. I just look at it like no matter how the end comes, as long as you get the victory, that’s all that matters.”

The McCarthy Chronicles: Cowboys send a message indicative of their championship culture

by Elena October 8, 2021
written by Elena

It was the kind of response they needed, and the kind of response Cowboys fans aren’t accustomed to seeing.

Last week’s game against the Broncos was tough to stomach, but not something we’re unfamiliar with. Over the last two decades or so, it’s become commonplace – almost expected – to see a hot Cowboys team get shellacked by a much worse team.

What we’re not used to seeing, though, is the team responding the way they did this time around. Dallas thrashed the Falcons in every way imaginable, winning by 40 points. It was so bad that Atlanta pulled their starters before we had even reached the fourth quarter. And it sent a message to the NFL: Denver didn’t figure anything out, the Cowboys just beat themselves.

You’d be forgiven for having waited to see until believing, though. Usually these kinds of losses just turn into an extended stretch of letdowns for Dallas. It was especially common under Jason Garrett. His first full year as head coach saw a 7-4 team drop one in overtime to the mediocre Cardinals after Garrett iced Dan Bailey. The next week, they lost to a Giants team that had lost their previous four games. The Cowboys lost two of their remaining three games from that point and missed out on the postseason.

A similar problem arose in the 2013 season. At 7-5, the Cowboys marched into Soldier Field to take on a Bears team starting backup quarterback Josh McCown, and the Cowboys got blown out. A week later, they lost to another backup quarterback, as Mike McCarthy’s Packers beat them in Dallas with Matt Flynn. A win over Washington the next week was erased by the Week 17 loss to the Eagles and they once again missed the postseason.

This issue became a recurring problem in each of Garrett’s last three years with the team. The 2017 season featured the Adrian Clayborn game that kicked off a dismal three-game skid that effectively erased their playoff chances after starting out 5-3. While the 2018 season ended in the playoffs, the Cowboys responded to their 23-0 drubbing by the Colts with consecutive one-score wins over bad Buccaneers and Giants teams. Then the 2019 season featured two different three-game losing streaks that made up two-thirds of the team’s losses that year.

This painful trip down memory lane is meant to reinforce just how rare it’s been lately to see these Cowboys respond strongly, or even at all, after losing games they should’ve won. Not only did the Cowboys win, but they did so in convincing fashion. A week after everything went wrong for them, everything went exactly right and they came away with a massive win.

There are so many individuals that deserve credit for this response, but the head coach deserves a big shoutout. Entering the bye week, the story of the Cowboys’ season was a team that just looked different. Cowboys teams of old wouldn’t have come so close to beating the reigning Super Bowl champs or holding the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year to just 17 points, and they definitely wouldn’t have pulled out an overtime win in Gillette Stadium. Not only were they winning the close games they usually lose, but the Cowboys were blowing out bad teams they typically played down to in years prior.

At the time, some of us were giving credit to McCarthy and the culture shift he’s accomplished during his second year in Dallas. McCarthy has erased the country club mentality that’s permeated this franchise for a long time, and replaced it with a workmanlike win-at-all-costs culture. It was clearly working.

Then Dallas comes out of the bye and goes on the road to beat the Vikings without Dak Prescott. That game was a massive endorsement of the mentality McCarthy has instilled here, but it ultimately resulted in an overconfident Cowboys team letting go against Denver. That made this game against the Falcons the biggest test yet for McCarthy’s regime. It’s easy to feel confident you can pull out a tough win when you’ve already won so many games in a row. But how you respond to a demoralizing loss like the Broncos game speaks volumes.

Well, we got our answer. McCarthy mentioned earlier in the week that he struck a balance between writing the loss off as the team having an off day and picking out things to improve upon. It clearly resonated with the players, all of whom looked significantly better this time around.

That message came from the top, and so did the message of going for the throat against Atlanta. After failing on two fourth down-attempts early against Denver, McCarthy was unafraid to keep the same aggressive approach against Atlanta. It worked this time, just like everything else. And when the Falcons got the ball back with a minute left in the first half, McCarthy used up all three of his timeouts to get the ball back. He wanted to score again because his players understood the message: nothing in this league is guaranteed, so you have to leave no doubt every single Sunday.

McCarthy won a championship with this mentality before. He’s trying to do the same in Dallas. And while there’s still a lot of games left on the schedule, it’s clear that these Cowboys are in the best position to do just that.

Cowboys news: How the Cowboys can work around the absence of Amari Cooper

by Elena October 2, 2021
written by Elena

How Will Cowboys Beat Chiefs, Raiders Without Amari Cooper? – Richie Whitt, Cowboy Maven

The Cowboys offense will need to work around the absence of Amari Cooper.

So how will coach Mike McCarthy and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore adjust the Cowboys’ league-leading offense on such short notice?

Depth.

Lamb will obviously get even more targets. And last week’s return of Michael Gallup from a seven-week injury absence comes at a perfect time. But the Cowboys have the luxury of several options to help fill Cooper’s void.

First and foremost, Cedrick Wilson – who could start for every team in the NFC East – will get more snaps and likely more passes thrown his way in the midst of his career-best year with 19 catches, 280 yards and three touchdowns. No. 5 receiver Noah Brown also has 100 yards receiving this season.

If the Cowboys want to get creative, they have two reliable tight ends in Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin and a breakaway back in the screen game named Tony Pollard.
The loss of Cooper is a significant. But as the Cowboys have already proven, their depth could turn what looks like a mountain into merely a molehill.
Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper out two games after positive COVID-19 test, sources say – Todd Archer, ESPN.com
Why can’t we have nice things?
FRISCO, Texas — With three games in a 12-day span starting Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys will be without wide receiver Amari Cooper for at least two of them after he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Sources told ESPN that Cooper tested positive for COVID-19 and is unvaccinated, which mandates a 10-day quarantine and will knock him out of the Thanksgiving game against the Las Vegas Raiders, his former team.
Cooper should clear the protocols in time to play against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 2.
Sources said the Cowboys have not had any other coronavirus issues related to Cooper’s test. The Cowboys will fly to Kansas City after practice Saturday.
Cooper has caught 44 passes for 583 yards and five touchdowns this season, all of which rank second on the Cowboys.
The Cowboys welcomed back wide receiver Michael Gallup to action in last week’s win over the Atlanta Falcons after he missed seven games with a calf strain suffered in the season opener. Gallup and CeeDee Lamb will serve as the Cowboys’ top two receivers with Cedrick Wilson moving into the No. 3 slot, which he handled during Gallup’s absence.
Earlier in the season, linebacker Keanu Neal, who is also unvaccinated, missed two games on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Kicker Greg Zuerlein will return to the roster this week after spending last week on the reserve list.
Cooper’s loss is part of some potential movement on the Cowboys’ offense this week.

Cowboys O-line audible: Connor McGovern to start at left guard vs. Chiefs, Connor Williams on notice – Patrik Walker, CBS Sports
No Amari Cooper and a switch at left guard.
When the Dallas Cowboys take the field against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, all eyes will be on Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes. It’s what will happen in front of the former that might raise some eyebrows though, with the Cowboys looking to make a change on their offensive line they hope will give them a better chance at stealing a victory at Arrowhead Stadium. Connor Williams, the team’s resident starter at left guard, will be replaced by Connor McGovern, a talented former third-round pick who has been quietly improving in the background; and in a game that will likely see the return of All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith.
The swap at left guard is a significant development for the Cowboys, and particularly for Williams, who is playing in the final year of his rookie deal and entered the 2021 season hoping to increase his value in Dallas. Instead, Williams was forced into a preseason experiment at center that was a complete failure before being moved back to left guard — playing mostly well to this point.
His Achilles heel, however, has been penalties that have routinely either killed drives and/or put the Cowboys offense in position to nearly lose critical games (e.g., in Week 6 against the New England Patriots). To date, Williams has been flagged for 10 penalties for a total of 110 yards, league high numbers in both categories, eight of them being holding calls. For contrast, his 10 flags are more than twice as much as center Tyler Biadasz (4), who is in only his second NFL season and four more than Terence Steele (6), who is also in only his second year and despite having been thrust into the starting role at right tackle during the five-game suspension of La’el Collins.

Keys To Victory: Cowboys Have To Control Tempo – Bucky Brooks, DallasCowboys.com
How can the Cowboys pull off a road win in Kansas City?
The Cowboys will win if…
The Cowboys must control the tempo of this game from start to finish. Dak and Co. need to bring their A-game, as Mike McCarthy counts on the offense to pick up first downs and touchdowns while operating at a deliberate pace to drain the clock and limit the total number of possessions in the game. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard need to get it done on the ground for the “keep away” plan to work, but the odds are in their favor against a Chiefs’ defense that has struggled for most of the season.
Defensively, Dan Quinn must help his young defenders understand the importance of keeping the ball in front of the defense. The Chiefs are a big-play offense with the capacity to put 20-plus points in a quarter when Patrick Mahomes gets into a rhythm and is able to push the ball down the field. The secondary must stay on top of the Chiefs’ perimeter weapons and force the impatient passer to settle for dump-offs and check-downs throughout the game. If Mahomes is unable to throw it over the top of the defense, the Chiefs’ offense could unravel with their star players turning the ball over while attempting to make highlight plays instead of opting for a conservative approach on game day.

Tyron Smith’s Practice Status Upgraded – Johnny Auping, DallasCowboys.com
Tyron Smith is making good progress toward playing.
Tyron Smith will make a big step forward in Friday’s practice, potentially improving his chances of playing Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Mike McCarthy stated that Smith would participate in the mock game portion of Friday’s practice after having been limited to individual drills during Wednesday and Thursday practices.
The All-Pro left tackle has been dealing with bone spur issues in his ankle for the past two weeks, and McCarthy had stated earlier this week that the training staff and coaching staff would evaluate Smith after his limited participation in practices this week to determine what his participation would be the rest of the week and ultimately decide if he would be available on Sunday.
McCarthy said that he spoke to Smith after Thursday’s practice.
Mike McCarthy: Final Prep For KC; Injury Updates
“He looks good,” McCarthy said of Smith’s week thus far. “He has felt good about his work.”
